A REALTOR® is a professional who is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), a trade organization that sets standards for its members and promotes the principles of ethical and professional conduct in real estate business practices.

REALTORS® vs. Real Estate Agents: What's the Difference?

A REALTOR® is a licensed real estate agent who has chosen to become a member of the NAR and agrees to abide by its strict code of ethics. Not all real estate agents are REALTORS®.
